Meet the Pod! 🐳 This charming trio of hand-painted wooden whales is ready to swim into your home. Whales are symbols of family, community, and the vast mystery of the ocean. They travel in pods, protect their young, and sing to each other across hundreds of miles. This trio captures that spirit—a reminder that we're all part of something larger, all connected, all swimming together.
Each whale is cut from sustainably sourced timber using a scroll saw, then sanded until smooth. The shapes are gentle curves—rounded heads, sweeping tails, soft bellies. I paint them in ocean colours: deep blue, soft grey, seafoam teal, or sometimes a warm sunset orange. The reverse side is also painted, so the whales look beautiful from every angle as they spin in the breeze.
A small hole near the top of each whale allows you to thread fishing line or ribbon for hanging. They're lightweight, so they move easily with the slightest air current. Hang them at different heights to create a sense of depth, as if the whales are swimming at different levels of the ocean.

I typically paint these in ocean colours—deep blue, soft grey, seafoam teal. Sometimes I'll add a warm accent colour like coral or gold. If you have a preference, mention it in the order notes and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Use thin fishing line, clear thread, or ribbon. Tie one end through the hole in each whale, and the other end to a curtain rail, suction cup hook, or small nail. Hang them at different heights for a swimming effect.
