Here are three recent bathroom projects showing the full range of my work – from walk-in showers to complete dormer conversions.

🛠️ Project 1: Chapel Conversion – Walk-in Shower with Aztec Tiles

This bathroom was in an old chapel in Wales with a solid concrete floor. I had to raise the shower slightly to create enough fall in the pipework, then finished with these beautiful Aztec-style tiles after self-levelling the floor.

Shower Base: Before tiling, the floor was self-levelled. The walk-in shower was installed onto a raised platform built from block stone, ready for tiles. This raised platform allowed proper drainage on the solid concrete floor.

Nearing Completion: The walk-in shower is installed, wall panels are up, and the floor is fully tiled. The sink is in place and all pipework is ready to be boxed in – the client wanted to complete the boxing and decorating themselves. A beautiful, solid room taking shape in this converted chapel.

🛠️ Project 2: Small Bathroom – Single Shower Base with Floor Tiling

This long, narrow bathroom needed the studwork reinforced to support the tiles the client wanted. The room was just wide enough for a single shower base – a walk-in shower wasn't possible due to the window position.

🛠️ Project 3: Dorma Conversion – Full Bathroom Build with Glass Block Wall

This dormer room was a complete build from scratch – I started with an empty shell, installed insulation, plasterboard, and all plumbing, then fitted the bathroom next to the chimney.

Empty Shell: This dormer room was a big project. I started with an empty shell with no insulation or plumbing. I installed insulation, plasterboard, and fitted the bathroom into the space next to the chimney.

Panelling & Bath: The bath and wall panels are fitted. Next came the toilet and sink, followed by the stud wall with a large glass block above the bath for extra natural light.

Giant Bathtub: The client wanted this huge bathtub. They originally wanted a shower, so this was a compromise – though there wasn't really space for both, the tub became the stunning centrepiece of the room.

Near Complete: The sink stand and toilet are installed. The stud wall with glass block window is still to come – it will bring extra light into the bathroom from the dormer windows.
