Frequently Asked Questions

How do I commission a piece from you?

Start by using the contact form or emailing me directly. I'll arrange a free, no-obligation quote – either by visiting your home (within Calder Valley) or discussing your ideas over email. If you're happy to proceed, I ask for a 10% deposit (bank transfer or cash). Then I get to work, one project at a time, start to finish.

Can I visit your workshop?

Yes – by appointment only. My workshop is in Hebden Bridge. Just get in touch via the contact page to arrange a time. I love showing people around and discussing new projects over a cuppa.

Do you post gifts UK-wide?

Absolutely. My small handcrafted gifts – Celtic pendants, wooden animals, puzzles, and decorations – can be posted throughout the UK. Each piece is carefully wrapped and sent tracked where possible.

Do you make furniture for vans or campervans?

Yes! I create bespoke fitted furniture for vans and mobile homes – cabinets, storage solutions, beds, and kitchenettes. Every piece is designed to fit your specific vehicle and maximise space.

What's your lead time for a project?

It depends on the project and my current workload. I work one project at a time to give each piece my full attention. Typically, a kitchen fitting or staircase takes 2-6 weeks. Smaller commissions like furniture or gifts are quicker. I'll give you a clear timeline when quoting.

Where do you source your wood?

I use sustainably sourced hardwoods and softwoods from local timber merchants in West Yorkshire – oak, ash, walnut, pine, and reclaimed timber where appropriate. I believe in ethical craftsmanship that respects the earth as much as the art.
