From bespoke staircases to complete kitchen fittings – real projects for real homes across Hebden Bridge, Halifax, and Calder Valley.
Based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, I've been creating bespoke woodworking projects for homes across Halifax, Todmorden, Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge, and the surrounding Calder Valley. Every piece you see here was made entirely by hand – from the initial design to the final finish. I don't use assembly lines or outsource work. It's just me, my workshop, and a deep respect for the timber.
My work spans complete kitchen fittings, bathroom renovations, bespoke staircases, custom shelving, door hanging, parquet flooring, and fine furniture making. Whether I'm installing a flat-pack kitchen or building a one-of-a-kind oak staircase, the same level of care goes into every millimetre.
If you're looking for genuine craftsmanship – not a quick turnaround – you're in the right place. Browse the projects below, and when you're ready, get in touch to discuss your idea.
It depends on the project, but typically 2-6 weeks from start to finish. Each project gets my full attention – I don't rush work or take on more than I can handle. Quality over quantity, every time.
I'm based in Hebden Bridge and work across Calder Valley, Halifax, Todmorden, Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge, and surrounding West Yorkshire areas. If you're further afield, get in touch – I'm sometimes available for larger projects outside the area.
Yes – free, no-obligation quotes for all projects. I'll visit your home (within Calder Valley), discuss your ideas, take measurements, and provide a clear written estimate. No hidden costs, no pressure.
Absolutely. Sympathetic restoration and matching existing features is one of my specialities. Many of my projects involve blending new joinery with original period features – whether it's a Victorian terrace in Halifax or a modern home in Hebden Bridge.
Yes – every single piece. From cutting the timber to the final sanding and finishing, I do it all. I don't have a team or subcontractors. This means you get one craftsman's full attention, consistent quality, and someone who genuinely cares about your project.
I work with sustainably sourced hardwoods and softwoods – oak, ash, walnut, pine, and reclaimed timber where appropriate. I believe in ethical craftsmanship that respects the earth as much as the art. Whenever possible, I source from local timber merchants in West Yorkshire.
